http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEYzT58BTwo OK; let's talk about some rap for once. I remember when this album came out; it was huge when I was in school. A friend of mine got it, and that weekend we hung out at his place for over 24 hours. We rode around the area a bit, went to a party (LATE night;), and played some games/watched some videos and cable. Listened to this entire CD while playing some video games with some other guys in the neighborhood. Damn. On first listen, this song grabbed and shook me. It was so new, so innovative; I had never heard anything like it before. Basically, this song is a narrative, told through letters between a crazy fan and Eminem. It ends with a bit of dark, twisted irony. I just listened to it for the first time in years. Still a gripping listening experience. Eminem's "I'm going to rape a prostitute and kill some fags, and I'm going to burn your fuckin' house down... I'm just joking. I'm not really going to do that. You'd have to be a fool to believe it... but I am going to torture and kill my ex-wife... joking." got old real quick, looking back. But "Stan" was great. Edited by Bonzolee, Oct 23 2009, 01:35 AM.

| Not for me, any of it. It's too unsettling..I mean beaty music of all kinds. The wrong kinds of music - and even the right kinds when I'm not ready - highly disturb me. |
