Ok so we are sitting screwing around - flicking through the God channels on cable. There are at least 25 channels plus another 16 devoted to Allah and another 10 to Hindus etc. My son pipes up, hey, is it just me but where are all the white folks? Knowing he wouldn't be saying this in some racist context but in a purely racial discussion (there is a difference) we went back through the channels. On or two were based in the UK - all the rest in the States. Whitey was nowhere to be seen in the congregations or on the stage. So what's the score? Is Christianity in the US a phenomena of the Black population? ( I do recall the Peter Popoff channel where that guy was really white but appeared to be ripping off black vulnerable people) Is it a case of white congregations not making programmes or do the Black ministers give better shows? There was, I noted, a Christian Rock band on one channel - all white. But then again, Black guys, apart from Hendrix, don't do rock. it's nearly all milbottle white scrotes who avoid the sun like vampires. Is it just coincidence? |

Ever seen "The Blues Brothers"? Yeah.
Dude... you forgot Doug Pinnick! Back to the topic at hand– I really don't know why that's the case. I can only think of one religious channel I get, and I get literal hundreds of channels. The one channel is a bunch of white people. I know another channel that plays some black services on Sunday; other than that, I don't know of any other channels that air that crap. |
