Ha ha!!! Thank you for mentioning Transporter 3... God, I swear, it was a very first in my whole life of movie consumption. In other words, the first movie I've ever walked out of the theater before it ended. One dissagreement... I think the Happening was a little better than the afore mentioned. At least I managed to make it to the end (although I agree with the diagnosis entirely). It was probably just my Shymalan bias kicking in. Personally, Signs is one of my favorite movies (odd thing there, right?), so I judge it differently, figuring at some point, it may pick itself up. Uh... No. Those were the only two I'd seen of the list, but I already had a strong feeling with Disaster Movie... Fuck, how do those bastards continue to make movies after garbage like Meet The Spartans and it's ilk are released? Anyway, yeah, I definitely agree with the diagnosis. Can't say I'd seen those other three, but I trust ya.

I appreciate the trust, but do consider that as suspenseful as Signs was, it has a plot hole so big that you could fall through it--if the aliens are allergic and can be killed with water, then how can they come to eat humans who are nearly 90% water? Aliens getting kept out by boards and hiding in corn fields...it wasn't thought about at all, I swear. But it was suspensefully done. Edited by Joe E. Holman, Jul 30 2009, 09:49 AM.

Gave you an 5 star "Awesome!" man! You've got a pretty good voice and on air demeanor for this whole thing. You going to do anymore "Worst..." lists in the future? I don't know if you have the know how to put up clips or anything (I sure as hell don't!) but mixing in some clips, movie stills or anything would add some pizazz to it, I think.
I've never done that, Brad. Too damn cheap to walk out on something I paid for! There's a clip from Curb Your Enthusiasm that I can't find at the moment where Larry David refuses to walk out of a theatre during a bad film. He says he paid for his ticket, he goes down with the ship. He then goes on to say that he'll be friends with people, people whom he hates, for 50 years. He finishes things. He goes down with the ship. She walks out on his ass, he watches the end of the film, which he doesn't even like. It's a pretty funny clip. The first part, about films, is totally me. Never turned off a movie I started. Then again, I've never seen Disaster Movie or anything like that. Btw, how's it been, buddy? |
