Cramps while running

I am very religious about fitness. Besides the resistance training that I undergo often, I run 4-5 miles every other day. I have been a runner for years, so it's not like I'm any sort of novice.

Problem is, the last two times that I have ran, I have been getting bad cramps under my right lower rib. And they seem to start hurting at about the same time and distance during the run (only after 2 miles!). I am well hydrated and eat plenty of bananas for potassium. Any suggestions or information that might help me?

You sound just like my brother, who is also in the service and runs 5 or so a day. I have no idea what that could be. You might ask on Yahoo! Answers or Healthboards.com. My out-of-shape ass is no authority. Best I can do is swim, but that's so impractical and I'm so lazy, I seldom get to it.
